Planning a school search in Andorra
Agora's secondary language descriptions differ and its national page retains LOMCE wording. BCA's admissions FAQ still says IB candidate despite its homepage and dedicated Diploma description. Confirm current class and cohort details.
Compare earlier phases and the actual teaching language
Agora Andorra International School names authorised PYP and Diploma, while its secondary page still identifies MYP candidacy and pursuit of authorisation. Keep that distinction when planning the move from primary into secondary. Ask about the actual receiving class, assessed work and current programme status; primary or senior authorisation should not silently turn the middle stage into an authorised IB continuum.
British College of Andorra (BCA) describes the UK Early Years framework and English National Curriculum before Diploma in Years 12–13. Its admissions description also identifies Catalan, Spanish and French language study. Agora's secondary page is less consistent: one passage assigns subjects English, Spanish or Catalan, while a bullet describes Spanish, English and French teaching alongside Catalan study. Obtain the actual subject-by-subject language plan, especially when a child's academic reading differs from conversational fluency.

Choose the exact senior qualification and verify older wording
Agora's national-baccalaureate page describes a Spanish Baccalaureate option alongside IB and names humanities, social sciences, health sciences and scientific-technical pathways. It still uses the older LOMCE label, so request the intended year's current qualification framework, subjects and assessment plan. A pathway title does not establish every offered combination or automatic access to a particular university.
BCA's dedicated Diploma page describes subject groups and the core, and its homepage identifies an IB World School offering Diploma. Its admissions FAQ nevertheless retains older candidate wording in the examination answer. Read that inconsistency alongside the clearer programme page and confirm the actual senior cohort. Send current reports and unfinished coursework before assuming a mid-course move can preserve subject levels, assessment or the expected completion date.

Separate campus attendance, language support and residence
Agora identifies L'Aldosa in La Massana, with its Carrer del Serrat del Camp contact. BCA gives La Comella above Andorra la Vella. Confirm the offered division's entrance and attendance timetable when arranging visits rather than rely on a school name or advertised travel time. BCA's admissions page requests previous-school reports and interviews and describes year-round applications subject to places; that invitation is not an accepted offer.
Agora's residence advertises a programme for ages 9–18, available for a full year or one or two terms, with academic and pastoral tutors and weekend activities. Ask separately about the child's residential eligibility, current bed, supervision and the academic course that fits the stay. BCA describes different language-support conditions by age, so discuss the proposed class's support directly. Request current terms for tuition, examinations, transport, additional language provision and accommodation, without treating a residential place or an international-school label as a qualification guarantee.

Does Agora's primary and senior IB status also authorise its MYP?
Its homepage names authorised PYP and Diploma, while its secondary page expressly describes MYP candidacy. Confirm that middle stage's current status and the receiving class's curriculum. The two authorised endpoints do not establish authorisation for every intervening programme.

Is an Agora residence enquiry the same as an academic place?
The residence describes an ages 9–18 programme for a year or one or two terms, with separate supervision. Confirm both the residential arrangement and the actual course, assessment and school offer. A bed, term-length stay and graduation plan are different decisions and none is guaranteed by the published description.
