Country & territory guide
Compare schools across Czechia.
Compare Brno and Prague by the programme before senior study and the actual graduating award. ISP's four-programme description, PBIS's explicitly candidate MYP phase, Riverside's school diploma and Brno's current Cambridge/IB wording create different transfer decisions. Programme names and local school years should remain tied to the named institution.

Planning a school search in Czechia
PBIS's cited lower-secondary page explicitly describes MYP candidacy, not confirmed authorisation. Brno's current overview names Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma; confirm the actual pre-Diploma programme for the intended cohort.
Check the actual primary and middle sequence
International School of Prague (ISP) maps PYP from early childhood through Grade 5, MYP in Grades 6–10 and both Diploma and Career-related programmes in Grades 11–12. That is a specific school sequence. Ask which younger division or senior option would be in the offer rather than treating every IB-branded Prague school as the same pathway or assuming all senior pupils take the same award.
Prague British International School (PBIS) describes an MYP framework for ages eleven to fourteen followed by IGCSE, but its footnote expressly states candidate status and pursuit of authorisation. Preserve that distinction when comparing it with ISP. Brno's current overview names nursery PYP and Cambridge IGCSE/IB Diploma for senior study; request the actual primary and pre-Diploma curriculum for the intended cohort rather than extending one phase label across the school.

Compare senior awards and school-year numbering
Brno's separate upper-school page describes a four-year programme with Diploma in its final school Years 12–13. Riverside also describes IGCSE in Years 10–11 and Diploma in Years 12–13, while ISP uses Grades 11–12 for senior programmes. These numbering systems need a transcript comparison, not an assumed difference in the child's completed education.
Riverside distinguishes its credit-based High School Diploma from the IB Diploma course. PBIS separately describes its senior Diploma route; lower-secondary candidacy should not decide the status of distinct senior provision. For ISP's CP, request the career-related provider and requirements. Have each school identify its graduation document, examined qualification and subject levels without assuming automatic Czech maturita equivalence or a combined award.

Plan language study and the teaching site
Riverside describes Czech-for-Czechs provision separately from its IGCSE and IB course map. Ask how the child's Czech-language study and national coursework fit that arrangement; it is not a general placement rule for every family. Compare teaching language, support and assessed work with the receiving class, particularly when moving into a two-year senior sequence.
Use Brno and Prague as different collection starting points, then confirm the offered division's campus and timetable. Brno's upper-school page gives its Brno-Vinohrady address; a shared brand elsewhere does not establish the same site. Send reports and course outlines for a written transfer review and request current academic-year financial terms. Have the next institution check the precise credential, subjects and completion date before relying on broad recognition or credit language.

Curriculum pathways recorded across the collection
Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Czechia schools
Does PBIS's MYP wording confirm authorisation?
Its page explicitly says candidate school and explains that authorisation is not guaranteed. Keep that status separate from its published IGCSE and senior Diploma route. Ask for the intended cohort's current programme status and offer.

Is Riverside's school diploma identical to the IB Diploma?
Its page describes a credit-based school diploma separately from the IB course and examinations. Ask which requirements the offered plan meets and which documents will be issued. ISP's Diploma and CP need separately named course and award comparisons too.
