Country & territory guide
Compare schools across Guam.
Compare the selected Tamuning, Barrigada and Yona schools by senior examinations, younger-school provision and the actual graduation plan. St John's combines an AP offer with a separate IB Diploma description, while Harvest and Guam Adventist Academy describe different Christian school arrangements. A curriculum label or college-class opportunity should not replace a named course and award enquiry.

Planning a school search in Guam
St John's IB page retains older mathematics labels, so current subjects need confirmation. GAA's college-course opportunity is expressly subject to the schedule; no universal dual-enrolment or credit outcome is inferred.
Compare St John's AP subjects with its full Diploma
St John's School in Guam publishes AP courses beginning with US History in Grade 10 and continuing through Grades 11–12. Its IB page separately describes Diploma study in the junior and senior years, with subject groups and the core. Ask whether the proposed plan involves individual AP examinations, a complete Diploma or another school-graduation arrangement. One advanced subject is not the same course structure as the full IB award.
The IB page retains older mathematics course labels, so use it to understand the broad senior comparison rather than select a current subject from that list. Request the intended year's taught subjects, levels, examination arrangements and prerequisites. For a transfer, send completed assessed work as well as reports, and ask how much of the existing sequence can continue. Any university-credit decision remains with the receiving institution, not the school's general recognition language.

Distinguish Christian school provision from a diploma promise
Harvest Christian Academy (HCA) describes a Christian environment and K3 through Grade 12 provision; its academic page separately discusses its K–12 teaching and benchmarks. Ask for the actual secondary course sequence and graduation requirements, including how a child's previous credits and languages fit. A standardised test or accreditation statement is evidence about the school, not a named extra diploma or proof that it offers the same AP and IB choices as St John's.
Guam Adventist Academy (GAA) describes Pre-K through Grade 12 as a Christian day school near Yona. Its school overview says seniors may take courses at the University of Guam or Guam Community College when schedules permit. Compare that conditional arrangement with school-based advanced subjects. Ask who teaches and awards the college course, how it fits attendance and graduation, and whether the intended pupil meets current provider requirements; it is not guaranteed dual enrolment for every senior.

Use the actual locality and school-specific joining review
Start with Barrigada, Yona and Tamuning as distinct selected collections. GAA publishes 1200 Aguilar Road in Yona, while St John's AP page gives its North Marine Corps Drive contact in Tamuning. Confirm Harvest's offered division and current directions directly rather than assume one island-wide attendance plan. For siblings, compare the younger phase and the next senior transition alongside daily collection and the actual teaching timetable.
HCA's enrolment page requests previous reports and test records, followed by a new-pupil interview and school testing. Treat that as its own process, not a Guam-wide placement rule. Ask each team about language preparation, support, outstanding credits and the exact award the proposed course leads towards. Request current academic-year financial terms with examinations, transport, support and external college courses separated. Compare the school's faith and community arrangements through its own description and the family's questions, without inferring identical policies at every provider.

Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Guam schools
Does St John's AP offer automatically mean a full IB Diploma?
Its pages describe them separately: AP subject study starts in Grade 10, while the full Diploma has a junior/senior subject-and-core structure. Ask for the exact intended course plan and current IB subject list. A single AP examination or a published advanced-course menu does not establish the full IB award.

Are GAA's college courses guaranteed for every senior?
The school makes that opportunity conditional on the schedule. Confirm the actual college, course, teaching arrangement, prerequisites and credit treatment with the providers. Keep it separate from the school's own graduation requirements and from St John's AP or full Diploma options.
