Country & territory guide

Compare schools across Israel.

Compare the selected Jerusalem, Ramat HaSharon and Even Yehuda schools by primary framework, senior award and day or boarding arrangement. AISJ's IPC is distinct from IB PYP, EMIS separates a preparatory year from Diploma, and WBAIS describes American study with AP options. A shared website should not combine different branches into one senior teaching site.

Planning a school search in Israel

EMIS's FAQ retains past 2026–27 application dates and an applications-open banner. Current intake timing, day/boarding arrangements and any scholarship conditions require individual confirmation.

Distinguish primary frameworks from later IB

Anglican International School Jerusalem (AISJ) describes the English National Curriculum supported by International Primary Curriculum. IPC is a named primary framework, not another name for IB PYP. Its secondary page separately maps MYP to Grades 6–10 and Diploma to Grades 11–12. For siblings, compare those actual phases and teaching-language needs rather than extend a senior IB label into every younger class.

The same secondary description names IB certificates and an American High School Diploma alongside the full IB route. Ask which requirements and documents the child's offered plan meets; completing individual IB subjects is different from a full Diploma. Have the receiving team explain how previous credits and assessed work fit, keeping school graduation, subject certificates and the international award separately named.

Compare EMIS preparation with direct senior entry

Eastern Mediterranean International School (EMIS) describes in its FAQ a one-year Grade 10 Pre-DP course separately from the two-year Diploma in Grades 11–12. It says prior Pre-DP enrolment is not required for Diploma entry. Ask admissions to assess readiness and completed learning; a preparatory year should not be reclassified as MYP or a compulsory stage for every senior applicant.

EMIS also describes boarding and a day-school option, with scholarship eligibility described for boarding rather than day study. Confirm current arrangements separately from academic entry. Its FAQ retains 2026–27 application dates that have already passed and an applications-open banner; request the intended intake's actual timing and terms. Those older dates do not establish a current place or a promised residential offer.

Keep American-school branches and delivery specific

Walworth Barbour American International School (WBAIS) describes on its academic page an American curriculum in English culminating in high-school AP options. Its site contains both Even Yehuda and Jerusalem contacts, while the school history distinguishes the Jerusalem branch and describes senior pupils travelling to Even Yehuda. Keep the selected Even Yehuda profile tied to the actual offered division. A shared footer is not evidence that both locations deliver identical senior courses.

Use the three selected destinations as different starting points, then verify the current teaching site and timetable in the offer. Compare AP subjects with AISJ's complete senior awards rather than assume the same assessed course or graduation requirements. For a transfer, send transcripts and course outlines for review. Obtain a current academic-year quotation separating examinations, transport, support and residential costs where relevant, and have the next institution assess the exact credential and subjects required.

Parent questions about Israel schools

Is AISJ's primary IPC the IB Primary Years Programme?

Its primary page names English curriculum and IPC. Its separate secondary page names MYP and Diploma. Keep the primary framework distinct from IB PYP and ask about the actual phase, teaching language and placement.

Must an EMIS Diploma applicant complete its Pre-DP first?

Its FAQ says prior Pre-DP is not required for Diploma entry. Grade 10 preparation and Grades 11–12 Diploma are separately described. The school still needs to assess the applicant; confirm current intake conditions rather than use the past published application dates.
