Country & territory guide

Compare schools across Lebanon.

Compare the selected Lebanon school collections by actual locality, language stream and programme. Beirut, Dik El Mehdi and Al Maayssra provide different campus choices within this catalogue. French-system recognition, the Lebanese programme and an IB or American preparatory route answer different questions; neither an international name nor network membership identifies every pupil’s final award.

23 included profiles · 17 destination collections · 0 dated tuition schedules

This is a selected directory, with different levels of evidence in each collection. Open the named campus profile to check its curriculum phases, review date and sources before contacting admissions.

Planning a school search in Lebanon

Separate International College’s named programmes

International College publishes Lebanese, French, IB and American College Preparatory programmes. It describes PYP across early years and primary, followed by programme choices, and requires study of Arabic, a teaching language of French or English, and an additional language. The selected example is Ras Beirut. Ask that admissions team which campus, language stream and programme would appear in the child’s offer rather than assigning every school-wide option to every division.

That choice matters for a transfer already following a national examination sequence. Have the school review the child’s reports, language preparation and completed subjects before selecting a programme. Clarify the exact school or examination credential and its current requirements, especially where an international route differs from Lebanese study. No exemption entitlement is inferred here from older application forms, and a programme description does not settle individual ministry permission, recognition or university entry.

Check French recognition at the actual educational level

AEFE’s record for Collège protestant français Metn locates the school in Dik El Mehdi and lists homologated levels from Petite Section through Terminale. Its separate Nahr-Ibrahim record identifies Al Maayssra and also lists recognised teaching levels through Terminale. These records support a level-specific French-school comparison; they do not make the two campuses one institution or guarantee the same class places, language support or subject options for a new arrival.

The French Ministry explains homologated provision in terms of French programmes, pedagogical requirements and preparation for French diplomas, with recognition reviewed by cycles and levels. Check the relevant year for the selected establishment and distinguish that recognition from an IB programme or a school’s Lebanese pathway. Network descriptions should not be used to assign one public/private ownership category to every listing. Request current school documentation for the programme and unit being considered.

Keep geography and continuity in the written offer

International College’s own overview identifies Ras Beirut and separately displays Ain Aar contact information. Use the selected Ras Beirut profile when asking about the child’s teaching site. Dik El Mehdi and Al Maayssra are separate collection destinations, rather than alternative names for a Beirut campus. Map the actual classroom site and obtain current arrival, transport and collection arrangements from each provider before narrowing the household’s location.

For siblings, compare the phase and language plan for each child, including the transition into secondary study and the intended leaving programme. Request the current joining date, assessment process, transcript arrangements and written financial terms directly from the school. Keep tuition, examinations, transport and additional support separately identified in the quotation. Check the academic year and source-review date shown on each profile, then request current details. This selected collection does not establish nationwide school availability or an individual admissions decision.

Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Lebanon schools

Does French homologation establish an IB programme?

No. AEFE’s records describe recognised French teaching levels. International College separately publishes IB and other programme choices. Confirm the exact programme and credential at the intended campus; French recognition and IB authorisation should be checked as distinct matters.

Can Ras Beirut and Ain Aar be treated as one teaching address?

IC’s overview identifies Ras Beirut while separately listing Ain Aar contacts. Confirm the actual division and site in the offer, and use the selected Ras Beirut profile for that enquiry. A shared institution name does not establish identical phase or programme availability across sites.
