Country & territory guide
Compare schools across Latvia.
Compare the selected Piņķi and Riga schools by the programme before senior study, the actual graduating award and the offered teaching site. International School of Latvia's IB sequence, Exupery's Cambridge combination and Jules-Verne's French grade table create different choices. Similar international names should not replace a phase-specific transfer plan.

Planning a school search in Latvia
Jules-Verne's operator page contains two Patversmes address references without resolving every division's location. Confirm the offered teaching site; Exupery's senior-transfer passage is specifically labelled 2026/27.
Compare the middle programme before choosing senior IB
International School of Latvia (ISL) maps PYP from Preschool 2 through Grade 5, MYP in Grades 6–10 and Diploma in Grades 11–12. Its overview also distinguishes the IB Diploma from the ISL school diploma. Ask which senior award and subjects the proposed plan leads towards; being enrolled at an IB school does not mean that every pupil completes a full Diploma or receives interchangeable graduation documents.
Exupery International School combines PYP with Cambridge Primary in Grades 1–5, taught in English. Its senior-school page then describes IGCSE in Grades 6–9, a preparatory Grade 10 and Diploma in Grades 11–12. That is a different middle sequence from ISL's MYP. Compare completed subjects and assessment, especially around Grade 9 or Grade 10, rather than assume the same IB senior label means the earlier courses match.

Assess senior continuation and residential arrangements
Exupery's passage labelled 2026/27 discusses Diploma transfers where pupils already study analogous or similar subjects to those offered by the school. Treat that as a named-school starting point for a transcript enquiry, not a guaranteed place or a Latvian transfer rule. Send subject levels, course outlines and assessed work so admissions can identify what continues, what changes and whether the intended completion date is realistic.
The school's overview describes boarding for high-school students. Confirm residential eligibility, supervision and the current arrangement separately from academic admission; that description does not establish younger boarding or an available bed. A family comparing the two Piņķi schools should also ask how the younger child's division and the older child's graduation plan work together, including daily attendance and any move from a preparatory year into examined study.

Compare French grades and confirm the actual Riga division
Lycée français international Jules-Verne de Riga has an individual AEFE table approving Petite section through Terminale, with the listed CNED column marked Non. Use the intended French class and the child's completed learning as the comparison with ISL or Exupery. Ask how teaching-language preparation and national coursework fit; a broad French school name or an IB result does not decide a direct grade conversion.
AEFE gives Patversmes iela 20, while the school's organisation page also contains a Patversmes iela 30 k-3 reference and separate nursery and primary contact channels. Confirm the address serving the offered division rather than assign every class from a shared footer. Plan visits to the actual site, request the joining year's academic and financial terms, and separate transport, examinations, language support and residential care. Have the next institution check the precise award and subjects required before committing to a senior route.

Curriculum pathways recorded across the collection
Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Latvia schools
Do ISL and Exupery use the same middle-school route?
Their named descriptions differ. ISL maps MYP in Grades 6–10; Exupery describes IGCSE in Grades 6–9 and a preparatory Grade 10 before Diploma. Compare completed courses, language study and assessments with the actual receiving class rather than infer identical preparation from the shared senior IB label.

Does one Riga contact address cover every Jules-Verne division?
AEFE gives Patversmes iela 20, while the operator page also lists 30 k-3 and separate younger-school contacts. Ask which address serves the offered class and confirm its timetable. The approved French grade span does not itself assign every division to one building.
