Country & territory guide

Compare schools across Morocco.

For the selected Morocco collection, compare French-school options by actual city, campus and approved grade. Casablanca’s EFI, Jacques-Chirac in Rabat and Éric-Tabarly in Essaouira show why a French-school label alone does not establish the same nursery-to-lycée sequence, admission process or classroom language arrangement.

This is a selected directory, with different levels of evidence in each collection. Open the named campus profile to check its curriculum phases, review date and sources before contacting admissions.

Planning a school search in Morocco

EFI’s admissions calendar remains explicitly for 2026–27; its March 2026 registration window is not presented as still open. School language options are attributed to EFI, while the approved-grade claims come from the individual AEFE tables.

Read the approved grades before choosing a city

The French education ministry describes homologation as confirmation that teaching follows the relevant French principles, programmes and educational organisation. AEFE’s individual tables then identify the approved grades. EFI Casablanca and Jacques-Chirac Rabat list homologated teaching from Petite section through Terminale. Jacques-Chirac’s table separately shows Toute petite section without homologation; the approval should not be extended to an unlisted or differently marked nursery level.

Éric-Tabarly in Essaouira has a different recorded scope. AEFE lists homologated nursery and primary grades through CM2, while marking Sixième through Seconde as non-homologated and CNED-supported. A family seeking an on-campus approved secondary sequence should resolve the delivery, supervision and qualification arrangements separately. The original selected profile records the approved early and primary route; the later CNED rows are not promoted into that same on-campus pathway.

Treat EFI’s two Casa-Anfa campuses as separate journeys

EFI’s campus page distinguishes primary provision from Petite section to CM2 at one Casa-Anfa site and secondary provision from Sixième to Terminale at another. It identifies the secondary campus as opened in March 2024. The school-level address in a directory therefore should not be used to assume that siblings at primary and collège arrive at the same gate. Request each division’s current directions and transport plan before comparing housing.

Rabat’s Jacques-Chirac record gives Souissi, while Éric-Tabarly’s Essaouira address is in Quartier des Dunes. These are distinct city choices with different recorded phase coverage. Start a shortlist with the child’s next required grade and intended continuing route, then organise visits around the receiving division. A search for a French school in Morocco should retain the selected city and grade, rather than treating every approved institution as interchangeable.

Separate language options from the admissions calendar

EFI describes French, English and Arabic learning and additional English pathways, including a French–English option from Petite section and named secondary options. That school-owned description is separate from the AEFE homologation table. Ask which language distribution, option and qualification apply to the offered class, including the assessment of a pupil arriving from a different teaching language. Homologation does not establish that every child can enter every enhanced language route.

EFI’s Moyenne section-to-Terminale admissions page is explicitly for 2026–27. It describes a SCAC registration period that ended in March 2026 and a separate year-round application possibility for expatriate families moving to Casablanca, subject to places. Ask which current procedure applies to the actual applicant; do not reuse that dated window for a later school year or another institution. Request the intended-year fees and compulsory extras from each school alongside the admission decision.

Curriculum pathways recorded across the collection

Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Morocco schools

Does Éric-Tabarly’s directory record establish homologated secondary classes?

Its AEFE table approves the nursery and primary grades through CM2. Sixième through Seconde are separately marked non-homologated and CNED-supported. Ask the school about those later classes’ delivery and award arrangements; they should not be described as the same approved on-campus pathway.

Can EFI primary and secondary pupils be assumed to share one campus?

EFI’s own page describes separate Casa-Anfa sites for Petite section–CM2 and Sixième–Terminale. Obtain the offered division’s directions and the transport plan for each child. A school-level address or shared institution name does not establish one daily arrival point.
