Country & territory guide

Compare schools across Peru.

The selected Peru collection connects Lima and Arequipa school searches, but each example has a different language, campus or senior pathway. In Lima, distinguish Chorrillos, Miraflores and La Molina before comparing IGCSE, national study and IB options. Arequipa’s Max Uhle adds a mixed-language Diploma enquiry rather than another interchangeable Lima campus.

Planning a school search in Peru

Read Lima’s school names together with their divisions

Cambridge College’s senior page locates its programme in La Encantada de Villa, Chorrillos. Markham’s selected San Antonio profile belongs to Miraflores: the school’s campus map places Middle School, Secondary and Sixth Form there, while its separate Monterrico campus houses Early Years and Primary. Ask which site serves the joining class and whether a later transition changes the daily journey. A group-wide primary description should not be imported into the San Antonio profile.

Newton’s IB register identifies programme coordinators in Las Lagunas de La Molina. Keep that address separate from Cambridge’s Chorrillos and Markham’s Miraflores setting when planning visits. For siblings, request each division’s teaching address, start and collection times and current transport options. Compare the offered class and language support before estimating the household timetable; a Lima-wide shortlist is useful for exploration, but it is not evidence that the school runs are equivalent.

Compare senior alternatives rather than one IB label

Cambridge College publishes IGCSE alongside Peruvian national curriculum requirements in Grades 9–10, followed by a choice between the Diploma Programme and a national senior certificate in the final two years. Ask how the pupil’s existing subjects align with that decision, and what preparation is required for the preferred route. The school’s bilingual description combines English and Spanish study; the applicant’s actual language timetable and assessment support still need confirmation.

Markham describes IGCSE and Markham Assessed Portfolio courses in Secondary 3–4, followed by Diploma or Peruvian National Programme study in Secondary 5–6B. Those local year labels differ from Cambridge’s grades. Roosevelt’s own overview separately describes an Innovation Academy sequence and later Global Impact Diploma or IB Diploma choices in Grades 11–12. Keep the Global Impact pathway under its own name. Ask which credential, assessment model and subject plan would appear in the receiving offer.

Include Arequipa and check language preparation

Max Uhle in Arequipa describes its GIB as an International Baccalaureate in mixed languages; the IB register independently identifies the school and its authorised programme. This combination is a reason to enquire about the actual languages of instruction, examinations and individual subjects, not to assume that every subject is taught in German. Confirm the local entry year, required language preparation and the proposed award with its coordinator before comparing it with a Lima Diploma route.

Newton’s current authoriser record lists PYP, MYP and Diploma programmes. It establishes programme scope, not a precise conversion between the child’s former year and Newton’s local labels or a guarantee of entry. Send recent reports and course outlines to each shortlisted admissions team and ask for a joining-year plan. For senior applicants, check the next institution’s subject and language requirements separately, and request current written school costs with tuition, examinations, transport and additional support identified.

Curriculum pathways recorded across the collection

Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Peru schools

Does Markham’s San Antonio entry cover its younger Monterrico pupils?

The published campus map places Early Years and Primary at Monterrico, with Middle School, Secondary and Sixth Form at San Antonio in Miraflores. Confirm the child’s division and address. The selected San Antonio profile should not be treated as a second record for the younger campus or as proof that all ages share one site.

Is Roosevelt’s Global Impact Diploma another name for its IB Diploma?

No. The school overview describes Global Impact Diploma and IB Diploma choices separately in Grades 11–12. Ask which route is offered, its coursework and award requirements, and how the intended next institution evaluates it. A separate school-described pathway should not be relabelled as IB.
