Country & territory guide
Compare schools across Romania.
Compare the selected Romania school collections by actual city, programme sequence and senior award. Voluntari's AISB, Timișoara's British school, Cluj-Napoca's Royal School, Iași's Seven Hills and Bucharest's French lycée provide different phase and qualification decisions. A school brand or examination-centre listing does not settle the child's taught course or individual recognition outcome.

This is a selected directory, with different levels of evidence in each collection. Open the named campus profile to check its curriculum phases, review date and sources before contacting admissions.
Planning a school search in Romania
Distinguish the IB continuum from British senior choices
AISB's learning page identifies PYP, MYP and Diploma provision, with early learning, elementary Grades 1–5 and secondary Grades 6–12. Its published address is in Voluntari, despite Bucharest appearing in the school name. Ask how the child's current programme and language preparation fit the offered division. An American name should not replace the explicit IB sequence when comparing the selected school.
Timișoara's current school website describes British-based study through Year 9, Cambridge IGCSE in Years 10–11, then a choice of IB Diploma or A levels in Years 12–13. That broader current senior description should be checked in the individual course offer. Compare the full Diploma structure with specific A-level subjects, keeping any proposed entry point and examined work explicit rather than assuming all British schools end with one award.

Separate taught Cambridge study from examination registration
Royal School's advanced-level page in Cluj-Napoca describes AS/A-level study across Years 12–13. It also says a subject normally runs only when enough pupils choose it. Its examinations page separately offers IGCSE, AS and A-level registration to external candidates, while limiting Checkpoint registration to its own pupils. An examination-centre option is not proof of a school place or teaching in that subject.
Seven Hills' Iași upper-secondary page describes a two-year IGCSE programme leading towards A/AS-level study and further pre-university education. Compare the actual course sequence with Royal's published senior provision and Timișoara's alternatives. Ask for the taught programme, offered subjects and transfer assessment at the receiving school. A broad Cambridge subject catalogue should not be treated as every class running at every campus.

Compare Bucharest's French grades and the actual campus
Anna-de-Noailles' AEFE record lists approved French grades from Petite section through Terminale and locates the school in Bucharest's Sector 1. That is a different language and national-programme comparison from AISB's IB continuum in Voluntari. Check the intended French class and current options individually; the approved table does not make every extra pathway available or establish personal admission.
Use Voluntari, Bucharest, Timișoara, Cluj-Napoca and Iași as separate collection starting points, then confirm the teaching address and division in each offer. For a senior transfer, send reports, course outlines and assessed-work records, and have the next institution check the exact award and subjects required. Request current entry and language-support arrangements with a dated quotation separating tuition, examinations, transport and support. An institution's recognition statement and an individual credential-equivalence decision remain separate questions.

Curriculum pathways recorded across the collection
Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Romania schools
Does external exam registration at Royal School include classroom study?
Its page distinguishes external IGCSE/AS/A-level candidates from its own pupils, while its separate advanced-level page describes taught senior courses. Confirm the teaching, enrolment and examination arrangements independently. Registering for an examination does not establish a place in the school's classes.

Do Timișoara's British route and AISB's American name identify one curriculum?
No. AISB explicitly publishes PYP, MYP and Diploma. Timișoara publishes a British/Cambridge sequence with IB or A-level senior choices. Check the offered phase, actual award and subjects; the familiar branding does not make those educational sequences identical.
