Country & territory guide
Compare schools across Sweden.
Sweden's selected collection compares Stockholm International School (SIS) with Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket's (SSHL) IB programmes in Sigtuna. SIS's city day-school divisions and SSHL's later-entry IB and boarding choices serve different enquiries. Compare the receiving year, Diploma or career-related award, language preparation and complete financial arrangement before treating an IB label as one standard Swedish offer.

Planning a school search in Sweden
SSHL's CP page links a 2025–26 course plan that was not read. SIS's original 2025 brochure now returns 404; current school-owned primary, senior and admissions bodies supply the guide's phase information.
Compare Stockholm's divisions with SSHL's later starting phase
SIS identifies Johannesgatan 18 for Primary School and Norra Latin, Drottninggatan 71B, for Middle and Upper School. Its primary page describes Early Years and Kindergarten alongside PYP in Grades 1–5; its Upper School page places MYP completion in Grade 10 and Diploma study in Grades 11–12. Ask the actual division about the child's entrance, timetable and receiving phase.
SSHL identifies Manfred Björkquists allé 8 in Sigtuna and publishes MYP4–5 in Years 9–10, followed by Diploma or Career-related Programme in Years 11–12. Its selected IB pathway starts later than SIS's younger divisions. Ask about the actual offered phase for each child, including any separate enquiry about a Swedish national route. Compare the completed curriculum and day or residential arrangement before organising an application.

Distinguish full Diploma study from Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
SSHL's Career-related Programme page describes Enterprise and Entrepreneurship through BTEC International Level 3, three Diploma subjects and the separate CP core. It discusses an MYP5 preparatory year, with direct CP entry possible where previous knowledge is sufficient. The linked course plan is labelled 2025–26. Ask for the current intended-cohort award and subject requirements rather than treat CP as the full Diploma.
SIS's Diploma page describes its subject groups and core, with prior consultation for school-supported self-taught languages or online courses. Mathematics Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level requires a placement test before course approval. Its admissions page separately sets stronger English and progression requirements for later grades and assesses senior transfers individually. Give the coordinator the actual transcript and university prerequisites instead of assume any published subject list guarantees the proposed combination.

Compare residential entry and the whole school-year quotation
SSHL's boarding application is made directly to the school, separately from regional or municipal application processes, and IB applicants may be asked to take a language test. Its 2026–27 fee page distinguishes boarding options, citizenship categories and curriculum, with an additional IB school fee for both day and boarding pupils and a Grade 12 examination fee. Request the applicable contract and current residential availability.
SIS's 2026–27 fee page separately lists application, enrolment and tuition charges, with additional discretionary services. It says the family's total can rise when a municipality contribution is unavailable or insufficient. Ask the Business Office to confirm the family's actual contribution and complete responsibility; the page is a school financial description rather than a universal subsidy decision. Its admissions criteria also require the school's review of an international connection and the relevant grade conditions.

Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Sweden schools
Is SSHL's CP another name for its full IB Diploma?
No. The school describes a career-related Enterprise and Entrepreneurship route combining BTEC study, three Diploma subjects and the CP core. Ask about the intended cohort, preparatory-year decision and current course plan; the linked 2025–26 plan is not proof of every later intake's requirements.

Can an SIS tuition-table amount be treated as every family's total?
No. SIS separates several charges and says municipality contributions affect the family's full responsibility. Ask for an individual 2026–27 or later-year quotation, any contribution confirmation and chosen additional services. SSHL uses its own boarding, curriculum and IB-fee categories, so compare the applicable contracts.
