Country & territory guide

Compare schools across Thailand.

Thailand's reviewed international-school collection includes Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai and smaller destinations with different programme sequences. The useful comparison is between named campuses and phases, rather than a single national international-school category. Decide whether the child needs continuity in British study, an IB continuum or a particular senior award, then investigate the daily or residential arrangement.

17 included profiles · 14 destination collections · 6 dated tuition schedules

This is a selected directory, with different levels of evidence in each collection. Open the named campus profile to check its curriculum phases, review date and sources before contacting admissions.

Planning a school search in Thailand

UWC Thailand's current academics overview maps PYP from Kindergarten, while its separate early-years page describes younger classes as guided by PYP. The guide preserves the phase boundary reviewed on 10 October 2026 and corroborated by the overview; confirm the current Pre-K programme scope with the school before assuming authorisation for every early-learning class.

Distinguish Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai teaching sites

Bangkok Patana's reviewed campus is in Bang Na. Phuket's collection includes BISP in Koh Kaew and UWC Thailand in Thepkasattri, Thalang, while Prem's Chiang Mai profile identifies Mae Rim. Those are concrete school locations, not interchangeable drop-off points within a national search. Ask for the entrance, arrival and collection times, the bus service from your intended address and the return after activities. If considering boarding, obtain the separate residential terms. A country-level comparison helps choose a destination; it cannot establish that every included school works with the same home or family routine.

Compare British-to-IB progression with IB phase coverage

Patana publishes British study through Year 11 and senior IB in Years 12–13. BISP also has IGCSE before senior IB and separate BTEC options. UWC Thailand describes PYP from Kindergarten through Grade 5, MYP in Grades 6–10 and Diploma in Grades 11–12; its younger Mini Mantas programme is described separately. Ask which curriculum the child would enter and how the next transition works. An IB Diploma offering should not be used to infer PYP in a British primary school, or to assign an authorised programme to every early-learning class.

Name the final award before comparing senior costs

Prem's senior information describes Diploma and Career-related Programme choices alongside other awards and courses. BISP's IB, IB Courses and BTEC routes are also distinct. Request the exact qualification, prerequisites and timetable for the intended cohort, particularly when transferring after examinations have begun. Then obtain the THB quotation for that programme and the proposed school arrangement. Separate tuition, boarding where applicable, joining charges, examinations, transport and required support. Ask how deposits, withdrawal notice and a delayed start affect the bill. Comparing one school's day tuition with another's residential or differently qualified senior route does not establish relative affordability.

Curriculum pathways recorded across the collection

Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Thailand schools

Does every reviewed Thai school with senior IB teach IB at primary level?

No. Patana describes British study before its senior IB offer. UWC Thailand separately maps its authorised school programmes, including PYP from Kindergarten. Read the programme and entry year in each profile, and confirm younger early-learning provision independently rather than extending a Diploma or PYP label across all ages.

Are IB Courses, the Diploma and a BTEC route the same qualification?

No. Schools such as BISP and Prem distinguish their senior options. Ask which award the proposed subjects lead to, how its requirements fit prior study and what further-study preparation it provides. Confirm the exact pathway before comparing fees, because programme labels and a subject list cannot establish an individual complete qualification.
