This Hobart collection covers The Friends’ School, a single provider with distinct North Hobart teaching divisions and a school residence. Start with the receiving year and campus, then compare primary inquiry learning with the senior award and delivery options. International enrolment and boarding have different published year ranges and require separate confirmation.
This guide accompanies 1 included profile. It is a selected collection; confirm places and current charges with each school.
Checked 15 October 2026. Curriculum and enrolment bodies are undated, and linked 2027 course-book contents were not read. The 2026 detailed fee gateways returned no readable schedule; the Year 10 resource list is specifically 2026 and carries a December 2025 order deadline. Obtain current intake, residence and financial terms.
The facilities page places primary study through Year 6 and Middle School Years 7–8 on the Argyle Street campus at 395 Argyle Street, North Hobart. Senior Years 9–12 use 23 Commercial Road, which also houses enrolments and main administration. Agree the actual meeting point and daily collection arrangements; a visit to reception alone will not show every child's division.
Walker House has vehicle access from Lewis Street and publishes five- and seven-day boarding for local and international Years 7–12 pupils. The international overview separately describes enrolment from Years 4–12. A younger international applicant should therefore discuss suitable living arrangements rather than infer a boarding place from school eligibility. Request the receiving house, weekend and holiday arrangements, and current availability.

Primary learning uses the IB Primary Years Programme framework to deliver the Australian Curriculum. The school describes inquiry across connected themes with ongoing assessment and feedback, while early learning also draws on the Early Years Learning Framework. Ask how the receiving class will assess existing literacy and numeracy and report progress; an IB label does not replace that local curriculum discussion.
Years 9–10 combine compulsory and elective subjects. In Years 11–12, Friends’ offers the two-year IB Diploma, Tasmanian Certificate of Education study and vocational education and training options. Its curriculum page also describes individual VET routes through supported, self-directed online study alongside TCE courses. Obtain the exact award title, provider, delivery arrangements and proposed subject sequence before comparing options or transferring assessed work.

The general enrolment process separates a conditional place or waitlist from confirmed admission. It includes updated school, health and wellbeing information, possible further review and a Head of School interview. International applications use a separate checklist with two years of academic transcripts, references and assessment evidence such as AEAS or other recognised tests. Confirm the receiving year's current requirements and support plan before accepting.
The fee pages label domestic and current/prospective international schedules for 2026, but their detailed gateway documents were not readable in this review. The overview lists devices from Year 2 and primary resources among inclusions, with IB registration and examinations separately charged. The 2026 Year 10 resource PDF also identifies charged English books and a science subscription. Request the correct intake/category invoice, boarding, course resources and contractual terms.

These are the pathways recorded for each included campus. Online provision appears separately. A senior qualification does not establish provision in younger years.

The international enrolment range begins at Year 4, while Walker House specifically describes Years 7–12. Ask enrolments to confirm the child's school and living arrangements separately. Neither the general range nor a website residence description establishes an offered place.

The senior curriculum describes some individual VET routes as supported self-directed online study alongside TCE. Ask for the actual qualification, provider, practical requirements and delivery timetable for the intended year; do not infer a single delivery model from the school's broad curriculum labels.
