The selected Indianapolis examples, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School and Cathedral High School, both concern Grades 9–12. Their Jesuit and Holy Cross settings, separate north-side addresses and school-specific course and application processes matter more than a general college-preparatory label. A freshman enquiry and a later high-school transfer need different records and timing.
This guide accompanies 2 included profiles. It is a selected collection; confirm places and current charges with each school.
Brebeuf’s 1 October 2026 early deadline is past. Cathedral’s application body names Class of 2031 but one enrolment step still says Class of 2030; confirm the applicable intake and remaining dates. Linked course guides were not read.
Brebeuf gives 2801 West 86th Street; Cathedral gives 5225 East 56th Street. Visit the actual receiving school and ask about morning arrival, after-school commitments and collection. Neither selected profile supplies a primary-school pathway for younger siblings, and a shared Indianapolis label does not settle the family’s daily attendance plan.
Brebeuf describes a Catholic Jesuit college-preparatory education and a community including non-Catholic pupils. Cathedral identifies its Catholic Holy Cross tradition. Discuss the child’s expected religious study, service and participation directly with each school, especially when transferring from another setting. Do not infer personal religious eligibility or exemptions from a school’s general identity statement.

Brebeuf’s academic description places reflection and service alongside its college-preparatory teaching. Its separate AP Capstone page describes independent research during junior and senior years and directs interested families to the academic counsellor. Ask when a transferring pupil can begin that sequence and which current prerequisites apply, rather than assume a senior arrival can complete an entire research award immediately.
Cathedral describes honours, academic and college-preparatory class levels, while its school overview names AP and dual-credit opportunities. Ask how prior reports and subject preparation affect placement within each department and whether the proposed college-credit course has separate registration requirements. Advanced courses, possible college credit and the school’s graduation requirements should be checked separately; course access is not established by the broad college-preparatory description.

Brebeuf’s published Class of 2031 procedure retains an early-admission deadline of 1 October 2026, already past at this review, and a regular deadline of 1 December 2026. It requests the HSPT, middle-school records, attendance/discipline information, essays and teacher recommendations. Its page allows HSPT results from another institution to be sent in. Confirm the appropriate remaining route and complete-file deadline with admissions.
Cathedral’s application body names Class of 2031, with a 15 October initial deadline and subsequent rolling review. Its separate transfer section usually places entry at the start of a semester and requires high-school transcripts, recommendations and applicable evaluations. It says an official transcript is needed before an offer, with course compatibility and ability to meet graduation requirements among the criteria. Request a receiving-grade credit audit, support discussion and current complete fee quotation before relying on a transfer date.

These are the pathways recorded for each included campus. Online provision appears separately. A senior qualification does not establish provision in younger years.

Brebeuf’s procedure permits scores from another institution to be sent to admissions; Cathedral also accepts HSPT results taken at another school. Confirm the intended intake’s accepted sitting and score-delivery process with both offices. Score sharing does not replace either school’s own application and review.

Its application page separates freshman and transfer entry. The transfer section requests high-school records and recommendations, considers course compatibility and graduation requirements, and requires an official transcript before an offer. Ask which receiving semester and grade can be considered.
