Kent Place School and Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child give Summit families distinct choices about coeducation, girls’ education, religious setting and the grade at which a child changes division.
This guide accompanies 2 included profiles. It is a selected collection; confirm places and current charges with each school.
Checked 15 October 2026. Kent Place’s application body was available through the exact official index after direct timeouts. Oak Knoll’s regular financial-assistance line displays January 15, 2026 alongside later-cycle dates; confirmation is needed. Course menus do not establish future availability, individual placement or university credit.
This selected Summit collection includes Kent Place School and Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child. Kent Place has a coeducational preschool followed by girls’ Kindergarten–Grade 12 education; its Primary School ends at Grade 5 and Middle School covers Grades 6–8. Oak Knoll is an independent Catholic school with coeducational PK–Grade 6 and girls’ Grades 7–12. A family with several children should therefore compare the next transition, rather than assume either whole-school age span gives siblings the same long-term route.
Kent Place publishes 42 Norwood Avenue. Oak Knoll distinguishes its Lower School entrance at 83 Ashland Road from the main campus and Upper School entrance at 44 Blackburn Road. Use the correct division when arranging a visit and collection plan. For a child finishing elementary school, ask how academic advising and the daily timetable change: Kent Place’s middle phase starts in Grade 6, whereas Oak Knoll’s Upper School starts in Grade 7.

Kent Place’s Upper School curriculum combines college preparation with an ethics sequence: its examples extend from Grade 9 introductory ethics to later work linking app development and ethical entrepreneurship. The school also describes preparation for AP examinations. Ask which subjects the entering student can take, with what prerequisites and assessment, instead of using an AP label as the entire comparison. A transfer student should bring recent course descriptions as well as grades so advisers can discuss an appropriate sequence.
Oak Knoll’s online Book of Studies lists subjects across Grades 7–12, including AP Biology, AP Calculus and AP Computer Science, alongside theology/religion and creative subjects. It is a course menu, not confirmation that a particular combination runs in the intended year or is open to every entrant. Compare those choices with the Catholic learning setting and ask for a proposed timetable. The reviewed menu does not by itself establish university credit or the details of a named external award.

Kent Place’s official indexed application page explicitly concerns 2027–28: it gives December 15, 2026 for submission and January 15, 2027 for completion. Its forms differ between preschool/primary and Grades 6–11, so request the checklist for the receiving division. The direct page timed out during this review; the indexed school body supports these dates, but admissions should confirm them before a family books testing or sends records.
Oak Knoll’s Upper School process distinguishes Grade 9 early decision from regular admission. Early decision lists a November 1, 2026 profile deadline and December 1 supporting materials; regular admission lists December 1 for the profile and January 25, 2027 for supporting materials. It requests ISEE or SSAT results, recommendations and school-sent transcripts. A financial-assistance line displays January 15, 2026 within this later cycle; ask for the correct current deadline rather than silently treating that year as 2027.

These are the pathways recorded for each included campus. Online provision appears separately. A senior qualification does not establish provision in younger years.

The routes differ. Kent Place says its preschool girls can enter Kindergarten without reapplying and offers placement counselling for boys moving elsewhere. Oak Knoll describes coeducation through Grade 6, followed by girls’ Grades 7–12. Discuss the next receiving school or division early; neither statement guarantees an individual place.

No. Its process also includes questionnaires, recommendations, official records and ISEE or SSAT results. The page describes an individual tour/interview after the applicant profile and a campus day for accepted students. Confirm the applicable category and dates with admissions.
