Distinguish Independent School’s two sites from International School

Independent School’s campus page places Kindergarten and Primary at Union Vale, with Secondary and A Levels at Ile du Port. Its younger Kindergarten area is separate from Primary even though within walking distance. Confirm the actual entrance, timetable and collection point for each sibling, especially around the move into secondary.

International School Seychelles identifies its contact address at Mont Fleuri, Victoria, Mahé; the contact page labels it as a postal address, so obtain the actual visitor entrance before travelling. Use the full school name on records and enquiries. A fee or application form from Independent School should not be sent to International School simply because both appear in the Victoria collection.

Translate P6, S4–S5 and AS–A2 into the actual course

Independent School’s profile maps Junior Years to P1–P6, ending with Cambridge Primary Checkpoint. S1–S3 prepare pupils for IGCSE in S4–S5, with guided options at the end of S3. Its senior phase uses AS in the first year and A2 in the second, subject to the school’s minimum entry requirements. Ask which subjects and prior examinations fit the pupil’s intended route.

International School separately describes IGCSE starting in Year 10 and assessed at the end of Year 11, with A Level entry requirements before Year 12. Its linked sixth-form application asks external applicants for prior qualifications, predicted or actual results, examination boards and intended subjects. The form explains that subject blocking and staffing affect combinations. Bring the actual syllabus codes and completed results when comparing these labels; a matching age or the phrase Cambridge course does not settle transfer compatibility.

Date the admissions advice and request complete intended-year terms

Independent School’s published admissions page contains a policy explicitly reviewed on 1 May 2019. It describes reports and English/mathematics assessment for later entry, followed by a separate enquiry section discussing places and support conversations. Treat the older criteria as background and ask for the current receiving-class checklist, birthday policy, assessment and individual learning-support review. Its old wording should not decide a present application.

The school’s undated fee page separates a family deposit, a per-child admission charge, tuition payable by term and annual materials. Obtain a dated schedule and the current refund terms rather than treat displayed figures as a 2026–27 quote. International School’s linked general admissions-policy PDF could not be retrieved in this review; request the current policy, sixth-form criteria and itemised tuition, examination, support and service costs directly. Keep an offered subject combination separate from an accepted place.
