Country & territory guide
Compare schools across Egypt.
Compare the selected Cairo and Alexandria schools by their actual phase coverage and senior award. BISC's published British-to-IB sequence differs from NCBIS's twin-track Sixth Form, while Schutz describes AP study and IBSA's later-phase pages need clarification. A school name or upper-year fee row does not establish the same graduating route.

Planning a school search in Egypt
BISC's FAQ programme text and NCBIS's curriculum were reviewed through official indexed evidence after a temporary-site redirect and failed direct access. IBSA's overview and 2026/2027 fee table differ on later phases; confirm the actual course offer.
Distinguish Cairo's two senior qualification plans
The indexed FAQ for The British International School, Cairo (BISC) describes British curriculum through GCSE/IGCSE and IB Diploma in Sixth Form. The direct FAQ currently redirects to a temporary coming-soon website, so request the intended intake's course information. Keep this named school's sequence separate from other Cairo schools with British in the title, and do not assume that an older admissions rule remains available on the replacement site.
The official indexed curriculum for New Cairo British International School (NCBIS) describes adapted British study in Years 7–9, GCSE/IGCSE in Years 10–11 and a choice of A levels or Diploma in Years 12–13. Direct access failed during review. Compare the actual A-level subjects with the broader Diploma course, and ask the receiving team about prerequisites and assessed work. The published twin-track choice is not a promise that every subject combination runs for every joining cohort.

Resolve Alexandria's school-phase discrepancy
The readable overview for International British School of Alexandria (IBSA) describes younger British stages and still labels Key Stages 4 and 5 as coming soon. Its fee table, labelled 2026/2027, lists later year groups through Year 13. These pages answer different questions: a billing row does not establish a taught examination course, current cohort or final award. Ask admissions to identify the actual upper-school curriculum and receiving year before relying on that table.
The same overview distinguishes English-curriculum IBSA from the group's French Molière school. Shared management does not make their languages, classes and qualifications one interchangeable programme. For siblings or an applicant nearing examinations, request the precise institution and division in the offer. Confirm which earlier coursework can continue and what the next senior provider would require if the intended qualification is not delivered at the selected school.

Compare AP, school credit and external course delivery
Schutz's readable handbook describes high-school AP courses and a separately named Global Impact programme. It also discusses approved Global Online Academy courses for Grades 9–12 that may earn Schutz school credit. Ask which subjects are taught on campus, which use an external online provider, and how each course meets graduation requirements. An approved school-credit course and university credit remain different decisions.
Use Cairo and Alexandria as separate collection starting points, then confirm the offered division's current teaching address and timetable. For a transfer, send transcripts and assessed work for the receiving school to review rather than infer placement from Year or Grade labels. Obtain a current joining-year quotation with examinations, transport, support and online-course charges separated. Check the precise graduating award and subjects against the next institution's requirements before committing to the course.

Curriculum pathways recorded across the collection
Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Egypt schools
Does a British school name in Cairo imply A levels?
The named descriptions differ: BISC's indexed FAQ describes senior IB, while NCBIS's indexed curriculum offers A levels or Diploma. Obtain the actual intended-year course offer; direct programme access was limited during this review.

Do IBSA's upper-year fees verify its examination route?
No. Its 2026/2027 fee rows include upper years, while its overview still labels later stages coming soon. Ask for the taught syllabus, examination board, current class and final qualification. The fee table alone cannot resolve those curriculum questions.
