Compare schools across India.
India’s catalogue examples should be compared by teaching location, residential arrangement and programme phase. A Bengaluru-area day and boarding school, a senior UWC college near Pune and French schools in Delhi and Mumbai answer different family needs. Their IB or French labels do not create a single Indian admissions standard, nor establish identical grade coverage, fees or qualification choices.

Tarahunise and Khubavali: identify the teaching campus
Stonehill’s teaching address is at Tarahunise, north of Bengaluru. Its separately listed registered foundation address on Infantry Road is not another teaching campus. The school maps PYP from Nursery to Grade 5, MYP in Grades 6–10 and DP or Career-related Programme in Grades 11–12. Its CP page describes full-time and weekly boarding from Grade 6, which should be considered separately from eligibility to study in the younger day-school phases.
UWC Mahindra identifies its residential college at Khubavali near Pune, with Paud in the postal address. Its current eligibility page describes a two-year Diploma Programme for students aged 16–19 at the start. It is therefore a senior boarding comparison, rather than an alternative primary campus. Discuss residential readiness and the actual college programme before comparing it with a day-school commute or a younger sibling’s provision.

IB senior routes and UWC application routes are separate decisions
Stonehill’s CP combines IB Diploma courses with a CP core and career-related study. The school names SUMAS and the World Academy of Sport as providers. That partnership does not move the teaching campus to Switzerland or the UK, and the CP certificate is a different award from the full IB Diploma. Ask which career study is running, how assessment is delivered and whether the intended university accepts the proposed combination.
UWC Mahindra’s application page distinguishes national-committee selection, a self-funded Global Selection Programme and a limited competitive support route for applicants without access to a national committee. A national-committee application is not an automatic offer from Mahindra or a guaranteed scholarship. Ask which route fits the applicant’s nationality or residence, funding needs and wish to attend this particular college, together with the current selection dates.

Delhi and Mumbai: check each homologated French grade
AEFE’s Delhi record lists French homologation from Petite section through Terminale. Mumbai’s record at Lower Parel West lists homologation only through Sixième; later listed classes are separately marked non-homologated, and some use CNED. The word lycée therefore does not establish an identical on-campus homologated senior route in both cities.
The French Ministry explains that homologation concerns conformity with the French curriculum and teaching organisation at the recognised levels; governance is a separate category. Families should obtain the exact current class, teaching and assessment arrangement, particularly beyond Mumbai’s homologated boundary. Request the intended-year calendar, language-entry assessment, tuition and any distance-learning or examination charges. The reviewed grade tables do not settle places, fee amounts or an individual child’s admission.

Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about India schools
Are Stonehill and UWC Mahindra boarding options for the same ages?
No. Stonehill’s CP page says full-time or weekly boarding begins at Grade 6. Mahindra’s eligibility page checked on 15 October 2026 describes a two-year IB Diploma for students aged 16–19 when starting. Confirm the current boarding space, placement and programme with the named institution; school attendance and residential eligibility are separate.

Is Mumbai’s French programme homologated through Terminale like Delhi’s?
The AEFE records reviewed on 15 October 2026 differ: Delhi lists homologation through Terminale; Mumbai lists it through Sixième, with later rows separately non-homologated and some CNED provision. Ask Mumbai to explain the proposed class and assessment arrangement beyond that boundary rather than assume the lycée name guarantees a homologated senior course.
