Regional school guide
Compare schools across the GCC.
Comparing schools across the GCC means comparing six education markets: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait. A British, American or IB label can help identify a pathway, but it cannot establish the same admission process, campus arrangement or fee rules across countries. Begin with the city and the child's actual school phase.
55 included profiles · 21 destination collections · 6 countries and territories · 28 dated tuition schedules
This is a selected directory, with different levels of evidence in each collection. Open the named campus profile to check its curriculum phases, review date and sources before contacting admissions.
Planning a school search in the GCC
Official indexed descriptions were available for KHDA's fee-sheet guide, Qatar's fee-policy announcement, BQA's review index and Kuwait's private-school list; their full pages could not be refreshed during this review. They identify authority resources here. No new fee amounts, individual eligibility decisions or school review judgments are asserted from those summaries.
Use the six markets to choose a practical location
A regional shortlist should narrow to a specific daily destination. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have separate UAE collections, and Al Ain remains distinct from Abu Dhabi city. Saudi Arabia's reviewed options span Riyadh, Jeddah and separate Eastern Province destinations such as Al Khobar, Dammam, Dhahran and Jubail. Oman separates Muscat, Sohar and Salalah. Bahrain's school sites include Hamala, Muqabah, Al Raffa, Riffa and Isa Town; Doha and Kuwait City's labels also contain named neighbourhoods. Ask each school for the teaching address, joining division and bus arrangements before comparing family routines.

Consult the authority that serves the actual school
The evidence sources differ. Dubai's KHDA offers school fee fact sheets; the UAE Ministry publishes the scoped 2026/27 early-entry age policy. Saudi Arabia's Ministry describes operational licensing for national and international private schools. Oman's Directorate General of Private Schools describes curriculum approval and school supervision. Qatar's Ministry has published a private-school fees policy. Bahrain's BQA provides school review reports, while Kuwait Government Online provides a private-school list. These resources answer different questions: identification, approved costs, entry rules or reviewed performance. A review judgment is not a fee approval, and one authority's document should not be applied to a school in another market.

Compare qualifications and a complete local-currency bill
School-specific differences remain important within each market. BISR Diplomatic Quarter offers a senior IB Diploma route, while Al Hamra publishes A-level and BTEC choices. TAISM in Muscat offers an American route with high-school AP; the British School of Bahrain's IB option is delivered online through King's InterHigh. Ask who teaches the proposed courses, which qualification follows and how previous coursework transfers. Then compare quotations in AED, SAR, OMR, BHD, QAR or KWD for the same joining period. Separate tuition, joining payments, transport and required support; a converted annual range is not an equal comparison of services.

Curriculum pathways recorded across the collection
Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about GCC schools
Can I use one entry-age calculation across all six GCC markets?
No regional placement rule is established here. The UAE policy has its own calendar and first-entry scope; a school such as TAISM publishes a different grade-placement cutoff. Give the receiving school the child's birthday, completed grade and reports, and obtain its proposed placement before comparing quotations or planning a move.

Does an IB option offer the same experience across GCC schools?
Check phase and delivery. A senior Diploma, an authorised continuum and an online route are different arrangements. BSB explicitly describes online teaching, while BISR DQ describes its senior Diploma pathway. Ask about the child's actual year, available subjects, supervision and qualification rather than treating the shared IB label as an interchangeable offer.
