A GCC school campus and fee checklist
Request a comparable offer for the named campus, current grade, programme and school year, with support and all compulsory costs clearly identified.

Make one comparison record for each proposed place
Start with the destination, school, teaching campus, proposed start date and your child's offered grade. Then add the programme and qualification. A group website or a national curriculum label can help you find options, but the comparison needs to describe the actual place your child could accept.
Keep a link and date for every document. Mark whether an answer is published, confirmed for your child or still awaiting a reply. A ministry or regulator listing can establish a school identity without settling current subject choices, individual placement or a complete annual fee.
Check the current classes at the named campus
Different sites in the same group can stop at different years. Newton International School D-Ring publishes Foundation 1–Year 8. In Dubai, KHDA records Arcadia Global School's current range as FS1–Year 9 alongside its UK curriculum classification. Ask which class is operating for the intended start date and what happens at the next transition.
- Write down the physical teaching site and the grades offered there now.
- Separate an operating class from an announced future phase.
- Ask whether moving to the next division requires another campus, application or assessment.
- If a school has separate shifts or gender sections, confirm the one in the offer and its timetable.
Name the course, qualification and teaching arrangement
A school can offer more than one route. FAIPS in Kuwait publishes CBSE examinations through Class XII and a separate two-year IGCSE course beginning in Class IX. Confirm the route offered to your child, the subjects available together and the next qualification before comparing it with another school's programme.
Delivery also belongs in the record. BSB describes the IB Diploma through online King's InterHigh teaching with BSB Sixth Form support. Ask who teaches the subjects, where study takes place, how examinations are arranged and which programme's fee schedule applies.
Resolve eligibility and placement before pricing the place
Send the receiving school the child's date of birth, completed year, curriculum, reports and intended joining date through its designated admissions process. Ask for its proposed placement and any assessment or document requirements. Use that offered year for the fee comparison.
Check school-specific eligibility as well. Oryx International School explicitly serves children of Qatar Airways and approved subsidiary employees. A curriculum match alone does not establish eligibility. DESS's admissions FAQ also distinguishes an application or waiting list from an available place; request a clear status and next step from each school.
Request the complete quote in its original currency
Ask for the schedule bearing the academic year and a written breakdown for the offered campus, grade and programme. Use the local currency for the calculation, with a separate dated exchange estimate if needed. Keep annual spending, refundable cash and payments already credited against tuition in different lines.
A concrete example is Palms School's 2026/27 policy: it separates tuition from books and materials, and states that its advance is part of tuition. Use each school's own treatment when calculating the bill. Do not transfer that arrangement to another school or country.
| Record | Ask the school to identify |
|---|---|
| Scope | Campus, grade, programme, attendance hours and academic year |
| Tuition | The full annual amount and what teaching or services it includes |
| Joining costs | Application, assessment, registration and other one-time charges |
| Required extras | Books, materials, devices, examination entries and compulsory activities |
| Family choices | Transport, meals, optional activities and individual lessons you plan to use |
| Support | The agreed provision and any separately priced services or adult support |
| Deposits and advances | Refund conditions and whether the payment is credited against tuition |
| Conditions | Payment dates, discounts, withdrawal terms and the quotation's validity |
Agree the support your child would receive
Give the designated learning-support or language team the information it needs to discuss placement. Ask who would deliver support, its frequency, how progress would be reviewed and what it costs. A general inclusion statement cannot answer whether a particular class can meet your child's needs.
For specialist provision, clarify the proposed setting and learning plan. The Children's Academy Bahrain describes adapted teaching and individual approaches; its published curriculum is useful preparation for a placement conversation. Obtain the individual agreement from the school before treating any service as part of the offer.
Send a focused follow-up enquiry
Use the same short request with each admissions team: Please confirm the teaching campus, offered grade and programme for our proposed start date; the application or place status; the current annual quotation and compulsory extras; and the agreed support or any assessment still required.
Add the specific unanswered questions from your notes, with the relevant document links. Keep the reply, quotation and programme confirmation together. Your final comparison should show what has been confirmed for your child and which decisions still depend on an answer.
