Regional school guide
Compare schools across Asia.
An Asia school search becomes useful when it narrows to a city, a joining phase and an achievable qualification route. This geographic collection includes the GCC markets within Asia, alongside East, South and Southeast Asian destinations. The examples below compare named schools in Dubai, Singapore, Hangzhou and Yokohama; their curricula and admissions conditions belong to those institutions.
385 included profiles · 242 destination collections · 45 countries and territories · 53 dated tuition schedules
This is a selected directory, with different levels of evidence in each collection. Open the named campus profile to check its curriculum phases, review date and sources before contacting admissions.
Planning a school search in Asia
KHDA's Fees Fact Sheet explanation was reviewed through official indexed text after direct retrieval failed; no current school price is inferred. Saint Maur's directly read high-school and admissions pages retain 2019 and 2020 publication dates, so offered courses and individual residence requirements need current school confirmation.
Choose a qualification before comparing distant markets
Dubai College publishes A-level study in Years 12–13. Tanglin Trust School in Singapore publishes a choice between A levels and the IB Diploma at Sixth Form. Saint Maur in Yokohama uses IGCSE preparation in Grades 9–10, then distinguishes IB Course Candidates from full Diploma candidates. These are useful starting points for a senior transfer: identify the desired award, completed subjects and remaining examination time before comparing cities.
Hangzhou International School describes PYP through Grade 5, MYP in Grades 6–10 and Diploma study in Grades 11–12, alongside its own high-school diploma. The primary route matters separately from the final award. For siblings, list each child's phase and language preparation; a suitable senior IB option does not establish PYP provision or the same placement structure elsewhere. Request actual subject availability and a written transfer plan.

Keep the teaching site and applicant category specific
Tanglin identifies Portsdown Road in Singapore, Saint Maur identifies Yamatecho in Yokohama, and Wellington College International Hangzhou identifies Xuezhi Road in Xiaoshan. Hangzhou International School is a separate institution on Xiangbin Road in Binjiang. Use the receiving division's entrance when assessing housing and transport. A shared city or an international school-group name is insufficient to identify the campus your child would attend.
Wellington's Hangzhou application page publishes defined nationality and residence categories and directs families to its admissions office for eligibility confirmation. Those categories should not be applied to every school in China. Saint Maur publishes its own residence conditions: one or both parents in Japan, or an accepted legal guardian in certain circumstances, and appropriate residence documentation for non-Japanese pupils. Resolve each school's process before organising a move.

Check entry timing and the evidence behind the bill
Tanglin states that it does not accept new pupils into Year 13 because its A-level and Diploma courses run over two years. This is a school-specific restriction, not an Asian transfer rule. An applicant with an unfinished senior course should ask about the permitted entry point before comparing annual tuition. Carry reports, course outlines and assessment records into that conversation.
For Dubai private-school searches, KHDA's Fees Fact Sheet guidance describes a reference covering mandatory and optional fees and inclusion in the parent contract. Use the actual school's sheet for the intended academic year. For Singapore, Japan and China, obtain the receiving school's own dated quotation and terms. Keep currency, tuition, transport, examinations, support, deposits and withdrawal conditions explicit; a regional fee average cannot resolve those different commitments.

Each row combines evidence from several profiles. Its phases may be offered at different schools; it does not mean every school provides every phase. Online delivery is listed separately. Open the school profile for its exact route and eligibility.

Parent questions about Asia schools
Does an IB school in Asia necessarily offer PYP, MYP and the full Diploma?
Check the named school and phase. Hangzhou International School publishes a continuum; Saint Maur describes IGCSE followed by IB course or Diploma candidature. Tanglin's senior Diploma choice sits alongside A levels. The label alone does not establish every IB programme or an individual pupil's award.

Where should I narrow an Asia-wide search first?
Start with viable cities and the required joining year, then compare the campus, qualification and school-specific application window. Resolve Tanglin's Year 13 restriction or Wellington Hangzhou's applicant categories with those schools before using fees to rank the shortlist.
