Regional school guide

Compare schools across Europe.

A Europe-wide shortlist should begin with the intended qualification, teaching language and receiving campus. Named schools can use different routes even within one country, while a bilingual or international description does not settle the final award. These selected examples connect schools in Kent, Moray, Paris, Geneva and the Munich area to practical phase and transfer questions.

843 included profiles · 787 destination collections · 49 countries and territories · 12 dated tuition schedules

This is a selected directory, with different levels of evidence in each collection. Open the named campus profile to check its curriculum phases, review date and sources before contacting admissions.

Planning a school search in Europe

Read the offered award instead of inferring it from the country

Sevenoaks School in Kent states that all Sixth Form pupils pursue the IB Diploma. Gordonstoun's senior school in Moray, Scotland, publishes GCSE study followed by A levels or BTECs in Years 12–13. A Scottish location therefore should not be used to assume that this particular school offers Scottish national qualifications. Compare the actual senior subjects, assessment format and entry preparation at each named institution.

École Jeannine Manuel describes French-English bilingual education and senior routes leading to the French international baccalaureate, BFI, or the IB Diploma. BFI and IB are different awards. Its Paris admissions procedure excludes direct entry into Terminale. Ask that secondary admissions team which route, language preparation and joining year would appear in the student's offer. An older pupil needs course-continuity advice before the family compares destinations.

Check which campus actually teaches the phase

Ecolint's Campus des Nations in Geneva separates Pregny, serving Pre-Reception through Year 3, from Saconnex, serving Years 4–13. It publishes instruction primarily in English with an emphasis on French and offers the four IB programmes. Confirm the offered site and programme rather than extending the description to Ecolint's other campuses. For siblings, compare the two school journeys and collection arrangements.

Bavarian International School's own information separates primary provision at its Munich City and Haimhausen campuses from secondary provision at Haimhausen. It describes MYP in Grades 6–10 and Diploma or Career-related Programme study in Grades 11–12 there. A search for a Munich-area senior school should therefore resolve the Haimhausen commute. The selected Haimhausen profile does not establish secondary teaching at the City Campus.

Compare the full offer, including language and financial terms

A family moving between these systems should provide recent reports, subject outlines, language records and completed examination work. Ask how the receiving school places the student and whether the desired subject combination is taught in the relevant year. For a younger bilingual pupil, request examples of classroom language use and progress reporting; for a senior applicant, identify the award and its preparation requirements in writing.

Ecolint's fees page publishes a 2026–27 tuition schedule in CHF and separately describes application, registration and capital development charges. Read the terms and obtain a quotation for the actual pupil rather than treating tuition as the complete commitment. For the UK, France and Germany examples, request their own dated fee and residential terms. Currency, financial assistance, deposits, additional support and residence documentation need provider-specific checks; a European comparison does not supply one shared contract or visa rule.

Parent questions about Europe schools

Are the French international baccalaureate and IB Diploma interchangeable labels?

No. École Jeannine Manuel lists BFI and IB as separate senior routes, and its Paris procedure does not accept direct Terminale entry. Confirm the proposed pathway, language preparation and subjects, then check the requirements of the student's intended next institution.

Can I use one school-group address for every phase?

Check the division. Campus des Nations separates Pregny and Saconnex by year; BIS locates its secondary programmes at Haimhausen while also operating Munich primary provision. Use the teaching address attached to the offered class before choosing housing or transport.
